Scorton Area Bicycle Leisure Excursions
Regular Cycle Ride from Scorton Village Memorial Institute
Conditions of participation:
1. Whilst cycling is a safe activity the organisers, ride leaders or promoters cannot take responsibility for any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused due to participation in these events.
2. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure they have the sufficient level of fitness and skill to take part and to seek the advice of their own Doctor prior to riding if in any doubt about their health.
3. It is participant’s responsibility to ensure that the cycle they ride is safe and road worthy and that they obey the regulations of the road.
4. It is advisable that a helmet and other appropriate safety equipment is used. All those bringing along children/young people for whom they are responsible will ensure that they also abide by the above conditions.
Things you might want to consider.
1. Taking a waterproof jacket with you
2. A drink and possibly a snack bar
3. A pump and basic tools can be useful as can a puncture repair outfit or a spare inner tube
4. Taking some money in case the ride visits a cafe, as tea and cake is traditionally a part of cycling
5. That you have your own third party insurance (check your house insurance) or joining an organisation such the Cycling Touring Club or British Cycling who provide this as part of membership.
